Blush 101

Last night I went out and saw one girl who could pass as a doll or a clown (either way it still looked pretty bad), another girl looked completely pale because of her foundation, and another girl just did not have her blush on the right spot.

Blush can be your beauty secret weapon, it gives you a natural color, it gives you color.

The right way to blush:

Either smile or suck in your cheeks to bring out the apples of your cheeks.  At the center of each cheek, apply blush (always tap off excess powder blush before applying it on the cheeks) upwards towards the corner of the eye and the temple.   There is this spot of your cheek which should be marked, nowhere near the bottom of your nose or should it be too close to your eye. Blush can also bring our your eyes.

To make it look more natural, slightly tap away the lines of the blush, use a dry makeup sponge and use the edge like an eraser, leaving the lines looking more and more natural.

When it comes to applying blush, less it best.  This is the product that can make you look younger, fresher and prettier.

Targetwoman.com drew out a very helpful tip for applying blush for different sizes of faces.

How to apply blush for round faces - Give an illusion of slenderness by applying blush in a sideways V on the cheekbones. Blend it well and add a bit to the chin.

How to apply blush for square faces - Soften the square angles of the face with dab of blush on the forehead and chin. Apply blush from the center of the eyes towards the cheekbones and blend.

How to apply blush for rectangular faces - Apply blush below the outer corners of the eyes so as to reduce the elongated square shape.

How to apply blush for oval faces - Apply blush to the prominent part of the cheekbone and blend towards the temples.
