Not a lot of girls can pull off wearing the shade PINK on their lips. I don’t have that beautiful ivory skin color or even more so that “touch-of-olive” skin or “I’m a golden god” skin color. So for many years after discovering the fanciness of lipstick, you’ll never find me wear the shade of pink.

Latina is this magazine my sister started to read (which I don’t know why since we’re Asian) and they featured an article about pink lips. It caught my attention, they featured not the frosty overly pink lips, but something that fit every skin color. I was ready to try but sad to say not most of the products could be found here in Manila.

For those with Olive skin the Giorgio Armani Lip Shimmer in 26 has gold flecks in it so it will bring out the golden and
warmness of your skin tone.

For those with Caramel skin try Physicians formula Plump Potion Needle-Free Lip Plumping Cocktail in Berry Potion, it’s a subtle color but it has a color of pink thats just beautiful. Also it gives you an instant plumping effect also instant hydrating and smoothing and also long lasting shine!

Fair skinned chicas can go for Clarins Paris Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer (I have this and it’s absolutely stunning!). It has the right formula of lightness and brightness. It so gives off an exquisite finish.

For medium dark skin types the Three Custom Color Specialists in Dahlia give you a finishing touch of hot pink.

And for those with dark skin, a strong reddish-pink gloss to brighten your complexion will give you a stunning look.
Maybelline New York Sine Seduction Glossy Lip-color in Beaming Berry (I have this and I usually use it when I’m pretty tanned and it gives off such a bright color to my face and it tastes good too!)

And lastly, a tip from Latina, apply concealer to the outer corners of your lips, since they are generally darker than the center. Doing this will even out the color of your lips so the gloss goes on in one nice shade. As for me, my tip is to apply a bit of lip balm for a little moisturizing (like Burts Beeswax) and wait for about 3 minutes and then put on the pink shade that you want and start pouting!
